The Nordic series is a very flexible bed system. This bed system grows with your child and is therefore a sustainable solution! The basic bed can be transformed into any imaginable children's bed. The XL-high loft bed of the Nordic series is made of massive MDF board and strong beech. The particularly high safety edges consist of flat slats. The two support bars in the middle of the bed provide additional stability. The beech steps are grooved, which increase grip. Handles recessed into the stairs ensure that the little one can climb up safely. The stairs can be placed on the left or right.
The bed is finished with an opaque white water-based varnish. This varnish is safe for children and environmentally friendly. The wood comes from European forests. The bed comes with a sturdy one slatted base made of thick pine slats joined together. The slatted base of the bed increases the air circulation of the bed and thus also the sleeping comfort. The maximum height of the mattress is 23 cm, but we recommend a 10-14 cm thick mattress for bunk beds and loft beds , leaving a fairly high safety edge on the bed. If you want, you can place a Nordic writing desk under this princely high loft bed, and you will use the space under this loft bed very usefully. Since this bed is convertible, it has pre-drilled holes. The color of the bed comes with plastic plugs that cover these holes.
When you need storage space for, for example, a book, phone or water bottle, you can attach a hanging storage box (40214611) to the side of the bed with strong metal hooks. The storage box is sold separately.
