You need to assemble the two parts of the breast collector before use: the soft, flexible silicone membrane is designed to be gentle on the skin - place it in the outer shell and snap it all the way around. When the milk is collected, place the milk collector inside the bra with the opening of the silicone membrane centered over the nipple. The handy spout, which will eventually be used to empty the shell, should be facing up.
